Vision or Dream Boards

Do you know or have you heard about vision boards? Do you know anyone that uses them?
I have completed two of my vision board goals and am working on completing another.

The purpose of a vision board is to give you a visual picture of what you want in your life. It is like an open scrap book that you can see all the time. Do you want to go on a cruise, see Italy, buy new dishes, new clothes, a new car, want more money, a bigger office, to visit a day spa as often as you wish, to travel and see the world, to learn how to cook like a chef, a new lawn mower, repair your sewing machine…you see it does not matter, because it is your vision, it is about you.
I had placed three items on my vision board one was a cruise, now completed; one was a home for me, completed; one is getting my sewing machine fixed, in the process. Want a college degree, put a cap & gown on your board, want that new car, find a picture, print it out and glue/tape it to your board.  It is not about the length of time for the action it is about seeing it everyday, believing that you will achieve this goal and turn your life around for the good.

          A vision board is a place where you can put
your dreams of achievement.

This is just one of the many tools that I have used to get where I am today. Belief in yourself will take you a very long way.

Do you have a deep desire to take back control of your life?

Do your own research on vision boards or dream boards, seek out pictures to print, type of words that have meaning for you, make them big, bold, colorful, creative paste/tape them to a construction board, search through magazines.
I use words like Achievement, success, happiness, courage, faith, freedom, smile, worthy, healthy, are just a few of the words I have chosen.

As you conquer one goal take it down and replace it with another. Keep your board, fresh, moving and alive.

Here are a couple of quotes from leaders:
“Envisioning means quite literally making something up out of thin air-and making it real. By definition, you can't do that within the confines of your skull. It needs to become physical; it needs to involve your senses. In other words, you need to write it down. Making pictures of it, which people sometimes call a “dream board,” is even better. Speaking it out loud is the most powerful of all. But at the very least, write it down. The moment you do, it has started to become real”
- Jeff Olson, The Slight Edge

“Set aside time each and every day to visualize every one of y our goals as already complete. This is one of the most vital things you can do to make your dreams come true. Some psychologists are now claiming that one hour of visualization is worth 7 hours of physical effort. That's a tall claim, but it makes an important point - visualization is one of the strongest tools in your success toolbox. Make sure you use it.”
- Jack Canfield, The Success Principles

By creating your vision board and visualizing your future, you can ultimately create the life of your dreams!

Dream, Believe, Achieve and become…you can do it

P. S. I would also like to include in this blog a recent audio that I have listened to to add value to this as well as importance.

Is Thinking enough?

It is said that thoughts become things?  My question is …Is Thinking Enough?

We have read many books about thinking yourself into reality. You want to remodel your bathroom, you think about all that is involved, design, colors, materials, labor, and finances. Well thinking is not going to get the work done. You actually have to do something to make it happen. You make a plan, design, make choices, save money, buy your materials and get to work. We can not wish things into reality, anymore then we can wish our lives to change. We need to take action.

Even when we want more money, we have to conjure up some sort of plan to get more money. Yes, it is said that the universe will provide us what we want, but only if we make the necessary changes first. God does not hand anyone a silver platter, while that would be really nice, he still wants us to make some sort of commitment and seek wise counsel. There are countless stories of people that have suffered miserably, thought, begged and pleaded for a better outcome, to no avail. So it is not the thoughts that make things happen, it is the action and the thoughts together that make things happen.

There is also another thought I would like to share. What you think about you bring about…we have all heard that before. So what does that mean? Hummm…and why does this sound contradictory to what I said above?
They are two different types of thoughts; one is monetary and the other is personal. While taking action to get something accomplished is true, it is also true that what you think about yourself will bring more of the same. If you continue to think about how broke you are, you will gain more bills. If you continue to claim something is a big piece of crap, guess what, it is going to break and prove to you that you are right.

Now, here is something else, you think about something that you want, you wait, and wait, and pretty soon you stop thinking about it. Then one day it comes to be. Why, because when we put our thoughts out there, if we let go and let God, when the timing is right for us to achieve our desire, we will. We need to learn to be patient, positive, and remain in action.

So while there are many things that we want; timing is everything. Be patient, don’t over spend, and make your plans while thinking positive about situations in your life. Do what is necessary to get things done and make changes. If you don’t know the answers, seek them out and wait; learn to listen to what is in your heart for it is never wrong.  Most importantly be happy and have faith.

Wishing you love, peace and joy

Commitment

What is your level of commitment?

There are many things in life we claim to be committed to;
for instance, your marriage, your faith, your family, your job….

When you say you are committed to your spouse  what does that mean?

Does it mean you will stand by him/her in whatever decisions are made, does it mean that no matter how long you are married you will devote all your love, does it mean that you would give your life for your spouse?

What about your job?

Does it mean that you will be there everyday; on time, no excuses for calling in sick? Will do your best everyday, you will provide the best customer service you possibly can everyday?

Will you help fill the gaps of what needs to be done? Will you help others?

What about Faith,

This is personal to each and every person who reads this.

Are you faithful to your “Lord” your “God” your Jehovah, are you committed?

Does it mean that you will pray every day with out fail; does it mean that you will read “your” bible every day? Does it mean that you will live your life with honesty, integrity, ethics and morals?

So I want to ask you, are you committed;
100%, no questions asked.

Or do you have reserves and say, well if things were this or that maybe I would feel better about my commitment.

If that is the case, then you are not committed at all.

You have reservations;
you leave your self a door of escape so you can back out.

It is like saying will maybe; I will try; I might give it a shot….

Commitment means you are 100% all in.

Your undying love for your spouse, ‘til death do you part; You forgive each other and except each other for who you are today.
In your faith, true belief that nothing could possibly deter your faith; to your job, you will be 100% all-in in your work; to your family, that you will be there every possible moment and not let others steal your valuable time and hold you captive for their selfish reasons.

When you build your level of true commitment there is nothing absolutely nothing that will deter you from it.

It is as strong as the foundation under the Empire State Building.

When you have true commitment, you are true to yourself; because it brings you to whom you are inside.

When you are able to see who you are inside you will then be committed to your self to be the very best person that you can be and everything else will fall into place.

So it is my wish to you, that you are able to look inside of yourself,
and ask

Wishing you peace, joy and life freedom,
