Vision or Dream Boards

Do you know or have you heard about vision boards? Do you know anyone that uses them?
I have completed two of my vision board goals and am working on completing another.

The purpose of a vision board is to give you a visual picture of what you want in your life. It is like an open scrap book that you can see all the time. Do you want to go on a cruise, see Italy, buy new dishes, new clothes, a new car, want more money, a bigger office, to visit a day spa as often as you wish, to travel and see the world, to learn how to cook like a chef, a new lawn mower, repair your sewing machine…you see it does not matter, because it is your vision, it is about you.
I had placed three items on my vision board one was a cruise, now completed; one was a home for me, completed; one is getting my sewing machine fixed, in the process. Want a college degree, put a cap & gown on your board, want that new car, find a picture, print it out and glue/tape it to your board.  It is not about the length of time for the action it is about seeing it everyday, believing that you will achieve this goal and turn your life around for the good.

A vision board is a place where you can put
your dreams of achievement.

This is just one of the many tools that I have used to get where I am today. Belief in yourself will take you a very long way.

Do you have a deep desire to take back control of your life?

Do your own research on vision boards or dream boards, seek out pictures to print, type of words that have meaning for you, make them big, bold, colorful, creative paste/tape them to a construction board, search through magazines.
I use words like Achievement, success, happiness, courage, faith, freedom, smile, worthy, healthy, are just a few of the words I have chosen.

As you conquer one goal take it down and replace it with another. Keep your board, fresh, moving and alive.

Here are a couple of quotes from leaders:
“Envisioning means quite literally making something up out of thin air-and making it real. By definition, you can't do that within the confines of your skull. It needs to become physical; it needs to involve your senses. In other words, you need to write it down. Making pictures of it, which people sometimes call a “dream board,” is even better. Speaking it out loud is the most powerful of all. But at the very least, write it down. The moment you do, it has started to become real”
- Jeff Olson, The Slight Edge

“Set aside time each and every day to visualize every one of y our goals as already complete. This is one of the most vital things you can do to make your dreams come true. Some psychologists are now claiming that one hour of visualization is worth 7 hours of physical effort. That's a tall claim, but it makes an important point - visualization is one of the strongest tools in your success toolbox. Make sure you use it.”
- Jack Canfield, The Success Principles

By creating your vision board and visualizing your future, you can ultimately create the life of your dreams!

Dream, Believe, Achieve and become…you can do it

"Stinking thinking"

Thinking…
I have been told that I think too much. And yes it is very true. I think about what people say, how they treat me, how I respond, what I could have done different, what should I have done, how, what if, …..

We have all heard what you think about you bring about. Ughhh!
So what do you do? How do you stop the “thinking”?
Is your thinking about worry, regrets, past promises, unattained dreams, or condescending words, poor relationships, I wish I could, if only I had….?

Or do you think about how great it is to have a job, the car you drive, the roof over your families head, the fresh clean clothes you pull out of the closet each day, happy and thankful that you had the money for those new tires, how great it was to go to the movies with a family member or friend, how great it was to go out for that once a month special meal, how nice it was to treat yourself to that special coffee.…?

What do you “think about”?

Is your thinking a process you use to re-evaluate an occurrence in your life? Do you use it as a tool to make better decisions, changes, or do you just mull things around and get angry? Does your “thinking” bring you resolve or ulcers?

Sometimes it is better to really think about what we want to do then just jumping in and doing it. Then again sometimes waiting too long can also become a problem within itself; and when do you know that you have waited too long and how do you know when it is the right time to act?
They say that timing is everything.

Stinking Thinking….so what we think about we bring about, worry; what?

So I guess the moral of this story is to be careful what you think about, how long you think about it, what your thinking is doing for you and too you as well as those around you.

Oh, one more question, is your thinking making you who you are today?

Now that is something to think about.

Please leave your comments; I look forward to reading what you think about.

Wishing you love, peace and joy

Life is a Puzzle - Part 2

In my first segment I talked about life being a puzzle and the way we look at things and how it all fits together. Today I want to expand just a little.

Working on my puzzle I was having a time trying to get the pieces to work together. Just like any puzzle most start my putting the frame around the outside; which is where I started. Remember me saying that even thought the pieces seem right, are they actually?

Where here is my point. While completing my puzzle the bottom wasn’t right, the pieces did not line up, the colors were off and I had no extra pieces to fit in. So while it seemed right at the time after looking at it further and making an adjustment. I was able to align the pieces correctly and it all came together naturally.

Life is just like that, we think what we are doing is right. We go to work everyday, clean our houses, spend time with family on holidays, eat wonderful food, enjoy what we think are good times. But, there is that something that is missing. We can not see it, because everything seems to fit together, but we can feel it in our gut. Do you ever ask yourself is this all there is? Is his what I am meant to be or do? There has to be more to life then this...

This is where the looking inside of us comes into play. What is in your life that if you changed just a couple of things would make things better? Make a list of what you want and what you do not want. It is a great starting place. Now you have to be careful, because what may seem to be better at the moment may take you on a different path entirely. So as you go, you need to plan, review and adjust. Give it time, because you may run into a few bumpy roads along the way, but just maybe, maybe they are there for a reason.

These are the challenges that create change.

As you are looking at your life, look at your fears, what really scares you?

Are you afraid of commitment? Are you afraid of the challenges of change? Are you afraid of the unknown?  Letting go of that job, forgetting about that raise, moving to a new home, moving forwards in your life and living your spouse and family, moving to a strange and different location; what are your fears?

Make a list of your fears but remember that we all have them. It is part of the process of life, it is how we are able to control our thoughts, see what is going on and make changes.

In my past couple of years I have made many changes, most were challenges that I had to endure, embrace and be thankful for. I went through a divorce, lost everything, lived at my daughters, went through severe, severe depression, and today, I am living on my own by myself for the very first time and enjoying it.
I remember my brother asking me why I was afraid of living on my own; because I have never done it before and I am 59 years of age.

So while the road may seem like you are in the pit of hell, remember that there are better times ahead.

Embrace the challenges, for within the word challenge is the word change.

Here is a video I would like to share, I hope you watch and enjoy it and share it with others~

Embrace it, live life, and always look within to make a change.

Commitment

What is your level of commitment?

There are many things in life we claim to be committed to;
for instance, your marriage, your faith, your family, your job….

When you say you are committed to your spouse  what does that mean?

Does it mean you will stand by him/her in whatever decisions are made, does it mean that no matter how long you are married you will devote all your love, does it mean that you would give your life for your spouse?

What about your job?

Does it mean that you will be there everyday; on time, no excuses for calling in sick? Will do your best everyday, you will provide the best customer service you possibly can everyday?

Will you help fill the gaps of what needs to be done? Will you help others?

What about Faith,

This is personal to each and every person who reads this.

Are you faithful to your “Lord” your “God” your Jehovah, are you committed?

Does it mean that you will pray every day with out fail; does it mean that you will read “your” bible every day? Does it mean that you will live your life with honesty, integrity, ethics and morals?

So I want to ask you, are you committed;
100%, no questions asked.

Or do you have reserves and say, well if things were this or that maybe I would feel better about my commitment.

If that is the case, then you are not committed at all.

You have reservations;
you leave your self a door of escape so you can back out.

It is like saying will maybe; I will try; I might give it a shot….

Commitment means you are 100% all in.

Your undying love for your spouse, ‘til death do you part; You forgive each other and except each other for who you are today.
In your faith, true belief that nothing could possibly deter your faith; to your job, you will be 100% all-in in your work; to your family, that you will be there every possible moment and not let others steal your valuable time and hold you captive for their selfish reasons.

When you build your level of true commitment there is nothing absolutely nothing that will deter you from it.

It is as strong as the foundation under the Empire State Building.

When you have true commitment, you are true to yourself; because it brings you to whom you are inside.

When you are able to see who you are inside you will then be committed to your self to be the very best person that you can be and everything else will fall into place.

So it is my wish to you, that you are able to look inside of yourself,
and ask

Wishing you peace, joy and life freedom,
